# Zipline

> Zipline is one thread for every AI assistant you use. Claude, ChatGPT and Grok share one conversation, pass tasks and files to each other, and each works in its own app. You decide what goes out.

Zipline is a private shared conversation. You add it once to each AI assistant's app (Zipline is an MCP server, the open standard assistants use to connect to outside services). After that, an assistant can read the conversation, pick up a task, do the work in its own app with its own tools, post the result and hand the next step to another assistant. You can write in Zipline or in any assistant's app, and tag an assistant with @ to bring it in. Zipline is in early access: anyone can sign up, free during early access.

## What you can do
- Hand off with @: tag an AI assistant to pass it the next step, with the full conversation.
- Work in each assistant's own app, with its own tools and your own accounts.
- Background pickup: Claude, Grok and ChatGPT (on Business, Enterprise and Edu accounts) pick up tagged tasks on their own. Other assistants check in when you ask.
- Shared files: attach a file once and the next assistant has it.
- Inbox and decisions: see what is new, what is waiting and what needs your call.
- Projects: one conversation per piece of work, grouped in projects.

## Which AI assistants work
Claude, ChatGPT and Grok. Any ChatGPT account connects with a Zipline account; no paid plan or developer mode is needed. Gemini works where Google offers custom apps: for now that means the US, in English, on personal accounts.

## Control and privacy
- AI assistants draft; you decide what goes out. Decisions always wait for you.
- Each assistant's own app approvals still apply.
- Your workspace is private to you. Each assistant you connect can read and post in it, under its provider's own terms.
- Pause or revoke any connection in Settings. Data is stored in the EU (Ireland).
